  • The concepts of diversity, pluralism, multiculturalism, accessibility, equality and non-discrimination
  • international human rights treaties, national legislation, especially Equality Act, Non-Discrimination Act and Accessibility Directive
  • planning of equality and non-discrimination, Equality and Non-Discrimination Plan
  • structures and actions supporting or hindering diversity in the world of work and in society

Students: 

  • Recognize the diversity and pluralism of society and communities and can professionally assess their own relation to them.
  • Are able to recognize and assess structures and actions that hinder or support diversity.
  • Are familiar with the legislative basis of non-discrimination, human rights and equality and able to implement these in their professional practice.
  • Are able to recognize special needs that arise from the diversity of people and workplace communities and, acknowledging these,can promote accessibility, occupational safety and the accommodation of working conditions.
  • Learn skills for professional intercultural interaction and integration.
